hi! my name is [lu]ke [ma]cdonald, and i create things under the name "chasing luma.

luma = light = self.

to try and arrive at the definition of who you are is to chase something that does not stay still. an endless and fleeting pursuit. that is what the pursuit of creating things feels like to me; something that is constantly changing. that is where the name "chasing luma" comes from.

i'm 28 years old, from nova scotia, canada. i downloaded FL Studio onto my family computer when i was 10 years old and everything changed in that moment.

i am a producer, songwriter, mixer, performer, multi-instrumentalist, dj, singer. it's a lot easier to just say that i make things.
